What runs on Linux, a NAS or Docker is the core service, not an app — no interface of its own, sitting on the machine that stays on, managed from a browser.

How the apps differ

The same core ships inside every app, so everything to do with clouds and files behaves the same everywhere. The differences are concentrated in mounting, which the operating system has to allow, and in audio and video output, which depends on hardware and drivers.

One account

Buy once, use everywhere

Membership follows your account

A CloudDrive2 membership is tied to your CloudDrive account, not to a device or a store. Sign in on a machine and the membership applies there — Windows, Linux, NAS, Android, Apple devices and Meta Quest all alike, with no exceptions.

App Pro follows your account too

Browsing clouds, managing files, transfers, backup and basic playback need no extra purchase. The advanced playback features — HDR and Dolby Vision, DSD, ISO disc playback (Blu-ray, DVD and SACD), AI subtitle translation, the media client (Emby and Jellyfin), and VR video playback of every kind (VR180, 360, fisheye, EAC, 3D SBS/OU) — need the one-time App Pro in-app purchase. Buy it once and it is unlocked on every device that signs in with the same CloudDrive account. Nothing to buy again, and nothing counted per device or per platform.

Where you buy makes no difference

Buy in the app with your CloudDrive account, or through the App Store, Google Play or the Meta store if that is where the app came from. Either way the entitlement ends up on the same CloudDrive account.

Store purchases show the price in your region's local currency, which may differ from the yuan list price. The price shown in the app is the one that applies.

After changing devices or reinstalling, sign in with the same account — there is nothing to buy a second time.

About this feature list

Everything on this page is what the app does today. CloudDrive2 is under active development, and what cloud providers and platforms allow changes too, so features can change or be withdrawn without notice.
