CloudDrive2, already on the box

TVs, TV boxes, Blu-ray players, NAS units, headsets — a lot of manufacturers ship CloudDrive2 inside their products, so their users reach their own clouds on first boot without hunting down an installer or configuring anything. Some of them are certified partners: their devices register with a device ID, which skips the sign-up entirely.

The list

Certified partners

These manufacturers work with us directly. CloudDrive2 is installed before the device leaves the factory; a card marked coming soon is an integration still being built. On the ones marked device-ID registration the user never creates an account at all.

  • Tencent Aurora Box

Living-room TV box. CloudDrive2 comes preinstalled — browse the clouds with the remote and play straight off them.

    Device-ID registration

  • TCL TVs

Televisions. TCL has built CloudDrive2 into the Media Center app that ships with the set, so the remote browses the clouds and plays straight off them — nothing extra to install, no box to plug in.

  • Hisense TVs

Televisions. CloudDrive2 is going into Hisense's own Media Center app, after which the remote will reach the clouds from an app the set already has. Coming soon.

  • 拾光坞 NAS

Home NAS. CloudDrive2 runs on the box as the always-on service, pulling every cloud in alongside the local disks.

    Official partner

  • Doopoo players

Enthusiast media players. Blu-ray folders, Dolby Vision and high-bitrate audio stream from the cloud without downloading first.

    Device-ID registration

  • HiMedia players

Media players from HiMedia. Same direct streaming from the cloud, with disc menus, audio tracks and subtitles intact.

    Device-ID registration

  • Dune HD

A long-standing home-cinema player brand, at home with 8K and Blu-ray folders. With CloudDrive2 on the box, cloud files open as readily as the internal drive.

    Official partner

  • HD SIR 高清先生

8K Blu-ray players and HiFi decoding. Disc folders, high-bitrate audio tracks and DSD play from the cloud without landing on a local drive first.

    Official partner

  • GOOVIS

AR / VR / MR headsets. CloudDrive2 is built into the headset, so 3D and VR material in the cloud plays as soon as you put it on.

    Official partner

  • Unraid

NAS operating system. CloudDrive2 is in Unraid’s Community Applications — install it and the clouds sit right next to the array.

Official partner · in the app store

  • Xunlei

Cloud service, hooked in three ways: a Xunlei account signs straight in to CloudDrive2; Xunlei’s own client has CloudDrive2 built into it; and Download with Xunlei in My Files hands the job to Xunlei’s download engine.

    Sign-in · in-app · download acceleration

Plenty of other manufacturers have put CloudDrive2 into their products without telling us. We don’t mind — but if that’s you, say hello, because a formal partnership comes with these.

How it’s wired in

No sign-up: the device registers itself

A certified device leaves the factory carrying a unique device ID, and CloudDrive2 builds the account straight from it — the sign-up step disappears. The resulting account is missing nothing: it is exactly the same as one created with an email address.

  1. The device ships with an ID

Every certified device carries a unique device ID, registered with us before it leaves the factory.

  2. First launch creates the account

Open CloudDrive2 and it creates the account from that ID — no email address, no verification code. We record the device as a Trusted Device.

  3. Claim it with your own email whenever you like

On the Profile page, Change Email and Password swaps in your own address and password in one step. After that the account signs in on your phone, computer and TV too.

A device-ID account needs a real username and email before it can be deleted

Deleting an account requires an address we can verify it against, so a device-ID account has to fill in a username and email on the Profile page first. That same step is what makes the account properly yours.

Three hooks into Xunlei

  • Sign in with a Xunlei account

Xunlei users don’t register separately. The CloudDrive2 sign-in page has a Xunlei button under Or sign in with; authorise once and you’re in. The resulting account behaves like any other — same membership, same cloud configuration, same backup tasks.

  • Built into the Xunlei app

Xunlei has integrated CloudDrive2 into its own client, so the interface opens inside Xunlei with nothing separate to install. In that mode CloudDrive2 recognises where it is running and hides the entry points you no longer need.

  • Downloads accelerated by Xunlei

Select files in My Files and click Download with Xunlei: the job is handed to Xunlei’s download engine and runs at whatever speed its acceleration gets you. Pick several files at once and they arrive as one task group named after the current folder.

Work with us

We’re open to every manufacturer

NAS, TV box, media player, headset — if you want CloudDrive2 in your product, come talk to us. Here’s what a formal partnership gets you.

  • Device-ID registration

Your devices create accounts from their own IDs, so your users are up and running on first boot with no sign-up and no email verification.

  • Certification and a place on this page

Your users can confirm that the CloudDrive2 on their device is the officially integrated build, not something bundled in by hand.

  • Integration support

Preinstallation, launch arguments, Docker and Linux deployment, and the gRPC API if you want to drive CloudDrive2 from your own interface.

  • Hardware bring-up

Remote-control UI, decoder capabilities, mount permissions — take the hardware-specific problems straight to us instead of through the community.

Tell us the device category, the OS it runs (Android, Linux, something of your own) and rough volumes, and you’ll get a faster answer.

You don’t need one of these devices

CloudDrive2 has its own apps on every platform, plus the core service for Windows, Linux, NAS and Docker. Start with whatever hardware you already own.
